The new edition ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 is published, Frontier has been senting the fabric to test according to the new  standard.

The new version brings together the ANSI/ISEA 107 and ANSI/ISEA 207 (Public Safety Vests) establishing a single comprehensive standard for all Hi-Viz    Safety Apparel.

The new standard creates performance classes:
Type O – for off road and non-roadway use
Type R – for roadway and temporary traffic control
                       Includes class 2 and class 3                 
Type P – for Public Safety activities
                       Includes class 2 and class 3
Pants, Overalls, shorts, rain pants and gaiters are now referred to as supplemental items and can be used across any of these applications

Also included is an allowance for smaller sizes in Type R class 2 reducing background material from 775 square inches to 540 square inches, and in Type R class 3 reducing background material from 1,240 square inches to 1,000 square inches. Reflective material minimum area requirements remain 201 square inches for Type R class 2 and 310 square inches for Type R class 3.
